"I began ordering this magazine for my students when we were in remote learning. I carried on for some of them who really loved it, and it's been a source of fun, engagement, and joy--yes, even joy! From a weekly news magazine! There are multiple items in each issue that we love. First off, the photography (and the photography contests) are inspiring and beautiful. The news stories, especially about women in science and sports, are exciting; I and the girls I teach are especially excited when we see women's teams in the main spot in the Sports section, which TWJ does regularly. Last year was my first experience seeing a WOMEN'S basketball team on the cover after March Madness! The news articles are really informative, and often the kids bring up issues they want to discuss.
